Heather with her youngest son, Hudson.
Heather Sutton is the founder of Wobbly Origami. She was first introduced to origami in 1996. One of her best friends went to Disney’s Epcot Center during a family vacation, and gifted her with a pack of origami paper that included instructions on how to fold a paper crane. This lead to a school project, where Heather and 2 of her friends folded 100 cranes. Those cranes were displayed in the school hallway for most of that school year. And so began her love of folding.
Heather has taught origami at local library groups, at children’s birthday parties and even at a camp for children with multiple sclerosis. (Those children at camp folded their paper with so much talent! They knocked our socks off!)
Wobbly Origami was founded in late 2019. The idea is to bring a little bit of joy and happiness, with the simplest and most satisfying folds available for us to teach. Really, anyone can do it!
When Heather is not folding origami she can be found working her full-time desk job, taking care of her family, tending to her pets or creating numerous other crafty items out of her home office in South Bend, Indiana. A home she has been cultivating since 2017, when they moved to the mid-west from the east coast.
We hope you get to meet her and share in her love of paper folding!
